Frayed Series - Ongoing
Each strip is imperfect: torn from porcelain sheets, into varying sizes and shapes. The Frayed pieces are ceramic sculptures with some strips left unglazed and some with pigment wedged into the wet clay. These are also canvases onto which paint and ink are applied after the porcelain has been fired, treating them as paintings.
